My favorite for bucket drumming are Vic Firth RockN.

The nylon tip prevents the tip from getting eaten up by the bucket.  The length + weight are pretty comfortable for nearly any player regardless of skills or size.  Be mindful: thin drumset sticks tend to break on buckets and thick marching sticks tend to break the buckets.

After 16 years of doing this, I assure you Vic Firth RockN's are the goldilocks of bucket drumming!

If you buy or make cheap ones, it will take more effort and be more challenging to practice good technique – which is just asking for bad habits to break later... guess how I know?
